The oldest apple vendor in Apple Hill. You can buy a box of golden Delicious apples, walk across the parking lot to the cafe for a sandwich and a slice of homemade apple pie.
Apple Hill, located off Highway 50 between Placerville and Lake Tahoe, is best known for the many apple vendors and beautiful scenery. There are wineries with tasting rooms, micro-breweries with tasting rooms, fruit vendors, and Christmas tree farms. It is fun and interesting to visit all year, but it is very busy from September through December, especially on the weekends. There are plenty of places for picnics. Children are welcome at most of the apple sellers. Many of the vendors have animals to pet and games to play. The wineries have picnic areas and the scenery is delightful.
