Art Cafe B&B 2

Art Cafe B&B 2

The huge bedroom in the basement of the former Gogola Palace in Sibenik, Croatia still displays some of the art works once offered for sale to Art Cafe customers. The painted ceiling beams are original Renaissance decorations uncovered during renovations.

About this place:

The former Art Cafe was born from the rubble of the lowest level of the Renaissance era Gogola palace off the central piazza in Sibenik, Croatia. Now a B&B, the spacious apartment features a huge bedroom and separate bar/sitting area with a great sound system. The stone walls feature several local artists' paintings. A second studio apartment, the former home of a mistress to a long ago city luminary, lies adjacent and can also be rented. Breakfast is taken at a cafe located just steps away with a view onto St Jakob's cathedral and the harbor front.
