Wetlands

Excellent place for birding and spotting the occasional croc.

About this place:

The Mkhaya Game Reserve is one of three properties managed by Big Game Parks in Swaziland. It is dedicated to the preservation of the white and black rhino, as well as other endangered African mammmals. The place is intimate. A visitor can come for the day, or multiple days overnighting at Stone Camp, Mkhaya's beautiful resort on the river. There, after a driving safari, walking safari or both, relax with excellent local cuisine, a performance of native singing and dancing ,before retiring to a luxurious stone rondavel tucked away in the thornveld.

If you want a more intense and rewarding experience, become an ecovolunteer and work with the rangers in protecting this lovely environment....then you get to camp in a tent and fall asleep to the sound of rhino breath.
