Over time, the hot springs at West Thumb in Yellowstone National Park have deposited a variety of colorful minerals along the edges of the "hot pots".
Yellowstone is America's first national park. The park covers 3,472 square miles in the states of Wyoming, Montana, and Idaho. The park is known for its abundant wildlife, canyons, lakes, and geysers which include Old Faithful.
