  As I was driving along Highway 128 on my way to Moab and anticipating the wonders of nearby Arches and Canyonlands, I enjoyed the drive that meandered along the Colorado River that was pleasant but nothing spectacular. Suddenly I gasped as the road curved and the majestic view of Fisher Towers' delicately carved red rocks came into view. At sunset, these red rocks seem to glow with a power from within. Juxtaposed against the snowy mountain beyond the beauty of Utah came alive and my trip was off to an outstanding start.
