Here you can see the characteristic mist in the fjords.
Misty Fjords National Monument located near the small town of Ketchikan, in southeast Alaska. The striking scenery was carved by glaciers over thousands of years, leaving sheer cliffs that fall thousands of feet to the water below. Due to the maritime climate of southeast Alaska, this is a beautiful area to visit year-round. Bring your raincoat, though, because the yearly rainfall is measured in feet and there are showers almost every day.
