The not to be missed oddball roadside attraction on the way to Moab, Hole n the Rock was carved over the course of several decades by its owner Albert Christensen. He blasted holes in the face of the giant rock and slowly chiseled out a home inside. it is quite a large house, with a gift shop in the front. He was an amateur taxidermist and there are several examples of some of the worst taxidermy you will have ever seen as well as a carved memorial to Franklin Roosevelt. All in all a great diversion on the way in into moab.
