Spruce Goose Cafe, Jefferson County International Airport

Spruce Goose Cafe, Jefferson County International Airport

It's a short walk from the plane to lunch and a slice of pie.

About this place:

Located just south of Port Towsend, WA at Jefferson County International Airport (0S9), this tiny little airport cafe is a popular spot with locals as well as transient pilots questing for the $100 hamburger. For passengers, there's a selection of local microbrews on tap. The menu is good, but standard fare - burgers, sandwiches, fish & chips - and is always served by cheery wait staff. If you've got room, the pie is famous among area pilots and a great way to wrap up your meal.

20-30 minutes from Seattle if you have an airplane; 2 hours or so by car and ferryboat from downtown Seattle.
