As you stroll step by step down the tree-lined center of Las Ramblas, you are sure to encounter what appears to be lifesize statues, but really, they are mime artists. Each one uniquely and artistically garbed with a blend of body paints, fabrics, and props. Donate a coin or two and suddenly your greatest reward is movement as the artforms slowly come to life right before your very eyes. It's like putting money into a machine and watching as the mechanism unleases the merchandise.
