About this place:

Cross the Golden Gate from San Francisco into Sausalito. The Presidio Yacht Club is located in Horseshoe Cove near the Bay Area Discovery Museum (for children). It was founded in 1959 and is a membership club for military, active and retired, and federal employees. Mike's Place, inside the Yacht Club, has a full bar and serves food on the weekends.

    The Presidio Yacht Club is a hidden little gem on the other side of the Golden Gate. The views of the gate are phenomenal and unlike the normal touristy views. Imagine looking at this from plush leather seats that're surrounded by dark wooden walls and ceilings (from which hang flags of yachting universities). After a day of hiking with friends, we came to the Yacht Club on the suggestion of one of the hiker's brother. There's nothing better than a good, basic burger (meat, turkey or veggie) and nice, cold beer after a long day's hike!
