Place to eat: Ferris' Oyster Bar & Grill, Victoria, Canada

About this place:

The great food place that all the locals go to. Not too hip, but not a bore. Small enough with great atmosphere, old brick interior, and a bar. Good portions, good prices. Patio seating out back and in the heart of old town Bastion Square Victoria, Ferris' is good for drinks and as the name implies, some seafood.

If you're going to go to Ferris' take a lunch break and try the Gina Lola sandwich with more yam fries than you'll know what to do with. Grilled zucchini, marinated artichoke hearts and roasted red peppers with spinach on grilled sourdough, spread with homous and feta cheese. Oh Gina, my favourite for 10 years now.
