Schimpff’s Confectionery is one of the oldest, continuously operated, family-owned candy businesses in the United States. They started off in louisville in the 1850's and moved to Jeffersonville in 1891 by Gustav Schimpff Sr. and Jr.

It has been featured in two cable network channels, "Candy" on the History Channel's program Modern Marvels, and "The Secret Life of Hard Candy" on the Food Network.

This is seriously the coolest candy store I've ever been inside. Absolutely stay for a demonstration and tour of the candy store and museum. Jill Wagner Schimpff is delightful and funny as she speaks, completely holds your full attention. Warren quietly makes the candy and then passes some out to the crowd after he's finished. It truly is a must see.
