Kaikoura is located on the eastern coast of New Zealand's South Island. Every morning these sperm whales come up to the surface for a few moments, showing their impressive tails as they dive back down. The whale tours can be a bit expensive, but this is one of the few chances you'll get to see a whale in New Zealand.
