Getting on the Sausalito Ferry on a clear day is a wonderful experience. The fare is currently $7.10 one way. The views of the city, the bridges, and the islands are magnificent.
The San Francisco area is home to many creative and eclectic people. You never know what surprises they may present you as you go about your day. On a trip over to Sausalito for lunch on the waterfront, one day this spring, a man presented such a surprise. Adjacent to the ferry dock, he was building intricate rock sculptures using rocks from the waterfront breakwater. He had an intuitive sense of balance, and that is all he used to build his assemblies.
