About this place:
Getting to Anton's Bar is difficult for first timers; you must follow these directions exactly: At the corner of Sovietskaya and Gorkova, turn East (away from the Vefa Center). Enter through the first wrought iron gate on your right and walk all the way to the end of the courtyard. Enter into the last door on your right. Walk down the stairs and along the narrow, winding hallway. You might feel a bit scared, but don't worry! Eventually you will find your way into a small local bar/cafe. The owner is Anton - he's friendly and fair and even speaks a little English. His mother is the cook. The place has an excellent atmosphere (even though sometimes it smells rather odd), and I always have a great time when I go.
(UPDATE: Anton has gone on vacation for the month of July 2008, so don't try to find this place until August at the earliest!)
