Casinò Malindi is a small, intimate European style casino in beautiful Malindi on the coast of Kenya. A family-owned business, with an Italian grill restaurant (La Griglia) in the back and a sushi boat restaurant in the making.
This is a major stop for tourists and locals alike. Locals come in for a drink and bite to eat more often, and tourists come in to play the tables, machines, bingo and also to exchange money.
Malindi has a large population of Italian "semi-locals" who live there for part of the year and live in Italy for the remainder. A lot of these people frequent the casino and Malindi so much so that Malindi has adopted a "little Italy" type of character.
As I said, you can stop in to play, to eat or simply to have a comfortable drink in the piano bar (pictured). The busiest night of the year is New Year's Eve when there are also a selection of shows running for a about a week, and the casino is packed full of an array of locals and tourists.
