About this place:

Ranthambhor National Park is a prominent Tiger reserve in the eastern fringes of the historic Indian state of rajasthan. Incidentally it is also the western most habitat of the tiger in the Indian sub-continent. Lying in the cradle formed by the Vindhya and the Aravalli hills, this relatively small mostly decidous forest houses around 30-35 odd tigers and is a prominent example of the successs implementation of the Project Tiger initiative - a Government initiative to save the tiger - of India.

The lakes were beautiful...the fort was majestic..and the experience was just perfect....being so close to Delhi, I am sure there'll be more weekends I'll find myself nestling in the cradle of this wonderful creation of nature! Never seen so many varieties of wading birds! All together, along with deers, crocs boars, crowding along the marshlands next to the lakes..
