Brighton Railway Station

Brighton Railway Station

Of all the railway stations I've visited, i think Brighton is my favourite. Built in 1840, and renovated in 1999, I particularly love it when the sunlight shines through the large, double-spanned curved iron and glass roof...

I associate Brighton Station with excitement about the weekend ahead - it's a town where you're guaranteed a great and unpredictable time. The station has a lovely, clean, safe feel about it and reminds me of Thomas the Tank Engine books I used to read as a kid. But at the same time it's bursting with character and intrigue. When i visit friends in Brighton, we head to the Sunday market around the corner - well worth dragging yourself out of bed for, even after a heavy night out.
