Rosedown Plantation, in St. Francisville, is one of the most beautiful plantations in the South. This antebellum home and the beautifully kept gardens are worth walking in for hours. The eighteen acres of ornamental gardens are full of valuable plantings in the Baroque style and the winding paths are picturesque. Rosedown was built in the 1830s by Daniel and Martha Barrow Turnbull.
