    Dear Brooklyn Bridge,

I have seen you tonight on tv as a headline of a news program, garnished with great fire works, just like in your opening day and suddenly I thought about you and all the happy moments I had by your side.
Although I promised I'd be there on your 125th birthday I just could not manage to get it as I honestly would have liked. I am so sorry about that, but many things made me busy enough to see you again, in spite of I gave you my word. I know it is kinda hard for you to understand because you were standing still right there for one and a quarter century, but one thing I can be sure of is that I will give you my apologies next time I am with your precious metallic company and everything will be alright between you and me again .

By the way, I'd like to tell you something I should have told you some time ago. I just hope you don't misunderstand it. Sometimes I don't like the things you say like I only visit you to see the nicest view of Manhattan from your wooden walk side. To tell you the truth, that is only one ridiculous reason I made up in order to meet you the first time I saw you from the observation deck at the top of your dear friend, the Empire State Building. I don't know how many times I have to tell you that you are by far my favorite hanging bridge and I love every single ounce of your huge structure of 14,680 tons. I hope this time you find it out at last.

Nothing more to say but wishing you farewell.

    Your faithfully,

    Dave

PS: I enclose some pictures I took you last time. I'm sure you remember that, don't you? I hope you like them. You look terrific, my friend.
