If the sign is gated, the inside must look like a fort.
This little pocket of a neighborhood in the southwest end of Atlanta is a foreign place to the people of this city. Its out past the prison and down a long industrial road. It opens up to abandoned buildings and small mom and pop type stores, like this grocery. It has a true southern feel to it and makes you feel like you are more in rural Mississippi then right outside downtown Atlanta. The people in the neighborhood are friendly and lively. I like to have brunch out there on Sundays because it feels so authentic. Like brunch was invented on the front porch of the little diner.
