About this place:
Where the Tallulah River has worn away the Tallulah Dome quartzite formation, there is now the Gorge - two miles long and about a thousand feet deep. Some interesting things have happened here over its history, from providing power for Atlanta's streetcars in the early 20th century, the setting for scenes in Deliverance, and a colorful family of tightrope walkers.
