You can walk down to the river and get a good view of this bridge. In the background you can see the spires from a couple mosques on the east bank.
This gorgeous bridge was destroyed in 1993 by the Croatian Defense Council during the Bosnian War. Rebuilt in 2004 it connects the largely Muslim east side with the largely Croat west side. Members of the Mostar Diving Club, which has an office on the west side of the bridge, dive from the top of the bridge into the River Neretva 20 meters below.
