In the suburbs of Budapest, a surreal collection of monumental soviet-era statues atone for the sins of communism by generating tourist dollars and euros.
The Statue is actually part of New Jersey, not New York. It was taken off of the New York State license plates because of the court ruling that put the statue in New Jersey, not New York.
For some reason every time I take pictures of Statues, I walk around until I can get the sun behind them and just shoot the silhouette. Not sure why I started doing it, but its quite addictive.
This is part of the Victoria Memorial outside of Buckingham Palace...beautiful statues.
There's something very Egyptian about this :) it's quite appealing to me.
Granted, the original was overly blue (as digital cameras tend to do on auto) so I fixed that a bit :)
Statues, silhouettes, clouds...they are such powerful things.
One of the statues surrounding the tall one. :)
