Driving through County Mayo on Ireland's west coast, we came across one of the most serene places I've ever seen. Rugged green mountains rise above the dark blue lake.
An isolated, but not desolated road in the region of Burren, Ireland. Where the rocky land looks like the moon and the blue sky mixes with the sea...and peace finally finds your heart!
In my opinon "slow travel" means to have the time to stop the car, step down, immerse yourself in the nature and take a picture...
One of the greatest things about driving around in Ireland...it's to get lost..you've no idea where to go and finally it comes this beautiful street sign to rescue you!:-)
I have been going to Connemara National Park in Galway all my life. December and January is when it is at it's most stunning - the trade off is weather.
