   Red Rock Canyon

   Red Rock Canyon is a newly acquired part of the Colorado Springs Trails and Open Spaces system. It is the geological continuation of the Garden of the Gods, located a mere mile on the other side of the highway.

   Purisima Creek Redwoods

   A wonderful redwood park with a creek running through it just outside of the coastal town of Half Moon Bay. It has about 20 miles of trails with everything from a a leisurely stroll to mountain biking.

   Altyn Arashan (Golden Spa in Kyrgyz) is a hot-springs hotel located in a high mountain valley above Karakol. Don't let the term "hot-springs hotel" fool you - this isn't your typical spa.

   Discovery Park

   Discovery Park in Seattle, Washington is a 500 acre nature reserve that is owned and managed by the City of Seattle. It is the largest park in the city and it occupies land formerly used by Fort Lawton.

   Emerald Village Mine

   Emerald Village mine is home to the North Carolina Mining Museum and Bon Ami mine. Not far off the Blue Ridge Parkway in Little Switzerland, NC it is a wonderful stop for a day of history and trying your hand at mining.

   Banff National Park

   Banfff National Park in the Canadian Rocky Mountains is considered one of the premier destination spots in the world. The park, created in 1883, spans 2,564 square miles of mountains, valleys, meadows, waterfalls and hot springs.

   Taylor Creek Visitor Center

   The Visitor Center, located in South Lake Tahoe on Hwy 89, is operated by the National Forest Service. It has an easy self-guided nature walk and a stream profile room where you actually view Taylor Creek from below the level of the creek.

   Banff National Park

   Canada's oldest national park, Banff National Park was established in 1885. A jewel in the Canadian Rockies 120 kilometers (80 miles) west of Calgary, Alberta.

   Sand Harbor

   Sand Harbor is quite possibly the most picturesque spot on Lake Tahoe. It is located on the Nevada side of Lake Tahoe and is part of the Nevada State Parks system.
